We run several university cafeterias and are exclusive catering partners for some renewable big institutions. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to build and lead our HR department. 

Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to join our team and take charge of establishing and managing our HR department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and driving employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Department Establishment: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems from scratch to meet the specific needs of our growing catering business. 
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process for various positions within the company, from sourcing and interviewing to making final hiring decisions. Create an effective onboarding program to ensure new hires quickly acclimate to the company culture. 
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a respectful and inclusive workplace environment. 
  • Performance Management: Implement performance management systems, conduct regular performance reviews, and work with department heads to develop performance improvement plans. 
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, create training programs, and facilitate workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, and keep abreast of changes in employment laws that may affect the business. 
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. 
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager in a similar industry, preferably in catering, food service, or hospitality. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities. 
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to build and lead a high-performing HR team. 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
